What's the role?
As a Project Manager at Westpac, you'll deliver assigned projects that support regional and Group priorities. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Westpac Pacific, you'll apply Westpac's enterprise project management frameworks to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and embedded into business‐as‐usual.
This is a full‐time, up to 24‐month fixed‐term opportunity based in Sydney, where international travel to PNG/Fiji would be required.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver projects end‐to‐end within agreed scope, time, cost, quality, and risk.
* Apply Group governance and enterprise methodologies, including PEFm and SELC.
* Define clear scope, outcomes, and benefits aligned to strategy.
* Manage budgets, estimates, forecasts, and vendor financial performance.
* Identify, manage, and elevate risks and issues as required.
* Engage and influence stakeholders to maintain alignment and delivery momentum.
* Lead and coordinate project resources and transition outcomes to the business.
* Capture learnings to continuously improve delivery practices.
What do I need?
* Over 3 years' experience delivering projects and/or technology solutions.
* Experience in a large, complex organisation, ideally within financial services.
* Proven delivery of low‐complexity projects (up to ~$5M, up to 12 months).
* Strong capability in governance, risk, cost control, estimation, and stakeholder management.
* Experience managing vendors and delivery partners.
* Tertiary qualification in business, management, or technology (or equivalent experience).
* Project management certification (AIPM CPM, PMI PMP, or equivalent) desirable.
