BOOKKEEPER / ACCOUNTS OFFICER
Location: Coolum Beach, QLD

Join a well-established and growing metal fabrication company on the Sunshine Coast. We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to take ownership of our financial administration and support smooth day-to-day accounting operations.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and confident working across AR, AP, payroll preparation, and financial compliance in a construction/manufacturing environment.

About the Role
You will be responsible for end-to-end bookkeeping functions, maintaining accurate financial records in Xero and our ERP system, and supporting essential reporting processes. You'll work closely with the leadership team and assist the external accountant at EOFY.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Financial Administration
* Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and progress claim preparation.
* Manage accounts payable and supplier payment cycles.
* Prepare payroll data and assist with payroll compliance.
* Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
* Assist with BAS, IAS, payroll tax, and other statutory reporting.
* Maintain accurate financial entries in Xero and within the company ERP.
* Support job costing, purchasing workflows, and data integrity.
* Track expenses, job costs, and cashflow.
* Assist the accountant with EOFY processes.
General Administration Support
* Maintain orderly filing and financial record systems.
* Prepare basic onboarding documentation or admin support as needed.

About You
* Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience (construction/manufacturing highly regarded).
* Strong understanding of AR/AP, reconciliations, and payroll preparation.
* Proficient with Xero and comfortable using ERP systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication and time management skills.
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
