On behalf of our client, an international energy company, we are seeking for an HSSE System Engineer to join the Crux Drilling team, based in Perth.
The role will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the Wells safety systems in alignment with the company Control Framework. This consists of adhering to the Wells standards to ensure Crux drilling operational HSSE focus areas are implemented and sustained on all sites within the region.
**About this role**
- Wells HSSE systems; ensuring contractor HSSE management compliance and HSSE reporting systems are heathy (equipment and competency verification).
- Contractor Management including Tender evaluation support, IOGP 423, onboarding of contractors.
- Focal point for Sphera (Incident investigation system).
- Supporting incident investigation and learning.
- Focal point for Assist and Assure systems and reporting.
- Preparing and supporting HSSE audits.
- Assess the embedding of the HSE agenda focus areas against the company requirements.
- Support onshore Well Operations Managers, Well Operation Team Leads, Well Engineering Team Lead and Drilling/ Well services supervisors in the day-to-day safety matters including dissemination and implementation of the safety policies, rules, and procedures within the scope of offshore operations.
- Demonstrate Safety Leadership daily and coach others to be Safety Leaders as required
- Coach senior leaders and personally lead by example the delivery of Wells HSSE systems and initiatives.
- Responsible for the efficient use of their personal time to ensure all tasks are achieved withinallocated project plan milestones, or timelines given.
- Onshore Prior to Rig arrival:
- Setting up all Wells campaign specific safety systems.
- Coaching onshore supervisors and managers on how to use and access all Wells safety systems.
- Offshore support:
- Support incident investigations.
- Auditing of contractor safety management systems.
**About you**
- Experience in the O&G; industry, with up to four years offshore experience
- Formal HSE Qualification, site experience with HSE supervisory exposure
- Strong experience in managing subcontractors and service providers
- Practical HSE Auditing/Assessment experience
- Proficient using Microsoft Office
- Sound knowledge of The Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Safety), OPGGS(S) Regulations 2009
- Able to effectively consult with Statutory Authorities, where required
- Robust interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to interact with staff and management at all levels for the improvement of health and safety
- Australian Full working rights
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Operational and drilling/well services contractor experience
- Ability to work offshore when necessary
