We're on the lookout for a dynamic and future-focused Asset Management professional to lead the way in shaping smarter, more sustainable infrastructure for our community.

In this pivotal role, you'll drive innovation by strengthening our Asset Management Framework, championing data-driven decision-making, and guiding long-term financial and lifecycle planning. With a focus on integration, compliance, and cutting-edge technology, you'll ensure our assets deliver maximum value today and into the future. Collaborating across Finance, Risk, Maintenance, and asset owners, you'll play a key role in building strong partnerships and delivering sustainable services that make a real difference for our city.

We're looking for a skilled and forward-thinking professional who brings a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration to the role. Ideally, you will have:

* A qualification in Civil Engineering, Asset Management, Building & Construction, or a related field — or a recognised certificate in Asset Management Planning with solid experience in a leadership or coordination role.
* Experience in developing and delivering asset management plans, improving business processes, and using systems that connect data to lift performance.
* Strong background in asset valuation, condition assessments, and setting up preventative maintenance plans.
* Knowledge of risk management practices relevant to local government infrastructure and services.
* Experience managing municipal assets (roads, paths, buildings, drainage), with the ability to apply legislation, standards, and policies, plus confidence using asset management software.
* Good computer skills, including experience with GIS and spatial data.
* An understanding of design, budgeting, cost control, tendering, and contract management for civil works.
* Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to work well with different teams and stakeholders.
* Experience preparing Statements of Works (SOWs) and budgets for maintenance programs, capital works, and long-term planning.
* The ability to work independently and in a team, while staying organised and meeting deadlines.
* A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, ensuring safe work practices and compliance from contractors.
