We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to design, build, manage, and optimize enterprise‐grade databases supporting critical business and government systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain relational and non‐relational databases
* Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
* Monitor database performance and carry out tuning and optimization
* Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
* Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with governance standards
* Support production environments and troubleshoot complex issues
* Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams
* Automate routine database operations and maintenance tasks
* Participate in system design reviews and capacity planning
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases
* Solid knowledge of SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization
* Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g., RMAN, native cloud tools)
* Familiarity with high availability / disaster recovery solutions
* Strong Linux/Unix operating system knowledge
* Experience working in secure or regulated environments
* Understanding of database security principles and access management
* 3–8+ years of relevant database engineering or DBA experience (depending on level)
