Job Description
As a key member of our team, you will help lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications strategies that raise our profile and support our mission.
You will take a hands-on, proactive approach across all areas of communication and marketing, including digital, social media, content creation, and campaigns.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing marketing plans, delivering campaigns, collateral, and compelling content that align with commercial objectives.
Additionally, they will drive visibility and engagement through digital, advertising, eDMs, and social media.
Key responsibilities include creating and managing engaging content that supports organisational goals, delivering timely newsletters, updates, and announcements, and keeping content accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
The role also involves contributing to strategies that attract and retain members, ensuring all activities build awareness and reputation, and delivering a positive member journey and maximising engagement.
Collaboration with events and workforce teams to promote training and events is also an essential part of the role.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will oversee systems, suppliers, and external agencies, monitor, evaluate, and report on marketing outcomes to inform future activities.
Role Requirements
* Qualifications – Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Membership Organisation Experience – Desirable but not essential.
* Content Creation – Strong experience producing written and digital content across multiple formats.
* Writing & Editing – Excellent skills with a flair for clear, engaging, and professional communication.
* Project Management – Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver on deadlines.
* Technical Skills – Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, email marketing (e.g., Mailchimp), social media platforms (e.g., Hootsuite), CMS (e.g., WordPress), analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and Adobe Creative Suite.
* Member Service – Ability to deliver exceptional service and communicate value.
* Stakeholder Engagement – Strong relationship-building skills with members, stakeholders, and suppliers.
* Flexibility & Adaptability – Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, not-for-profit environment where priorities can shift.
* Proactivity – Self-starter with initiative, able to work independently while collaborating across teams.
