ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Account Manager – Truss & Frame to join our high-performing TAF team. In this hands-on role, you'll champion our builders and trade customers by providing personalised service, technical support, and tailored product solutions.

You'll manage a mix of existing accounts while actively developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships and ensuring our customers receive accurate, on-time truss and frame solutions. Working closely with our quoting, estimating, production and logistics teams, you'll play a key role in helping our builders deliver great outcomes on every project.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

* Being a key point of contact for builders, providing advice, support and technical product knowledge.
* Managing and growing existing customer relationships while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
* Preparing, delivering and following up quotes, proposals and market intelligence.
* Working closely with the Quote/Order teams to support pricing, lead times and customer requirements.
* Liaising between customers and the truss plant to assist with scheduling, delivery planning and issue resolution.
* Responding to customer enquiries with confidence and offering alternative solutions when required.
* Capturing accurate customer notes, updates and insights in CRM systems.
* Conducting regular business development activities and contributing to the establishment of new accounts.
* Monitoring customer requirements, industry trends and competitor activity.
* Supporting marketing initiatives including promotions, events and brand activities.
* Upholding Dahlsens' commitment to safety through Our Circle of Care and living our values every day.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

* Background in Building & Construction, Timber, Engineering or Manufacturing (mandatory).
* Current driver's licence (mandatory).
* Proven experience in sales, account management and new customer acquisition.
* Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with trade-based customers.
* Excellent negotiation skills with experience in pricing structures and contracts.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, able to handle multiple customer projects.
* CRM Salesforce experience (preferred).
* High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capability.
