Project Engineer Job Description
Aurizon's Bulk and Containerised Freight business is expanding, and we're seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. This role will see you play a key part in the planning, design, and delivery of critical civil infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Organise and plan technical aspects of projects, including design, preparation of user requirement specifications, and ensuring safety in design for new and altered works.
* Design & Auditing: Oversee the design, checking, and auditing of civil systems submitted by the design team or external providers, ensuring they meet industry best practices.
* Documentation: Prepare all necessary documentation, including user requirements, system requirements, installation procedures, and asset handover materials.
* Safety & Standards: Ensure civil designs conform to enterprise and industry standards, contributing to the production and implementation of new standards and procedures.
* Problem-Solving: Investigate faults, develop solutions, and implement engineering fixes to enhance safety and operations.
* Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders as needed.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field.
* 5+ years experience in project management, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.
