Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced residential culinary expert to join our team. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking well-balanced meals for workers and company staff.
About the Role
* Prepare and cook breakfast or dinner for up to 65+ workers and staff daily, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
* Plan and organise meals, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences to ensure a diverse and nutritious menu.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and foodborne illnesses.
* Manage food stock effectively, monitoring inventory levels and minimising waste to optimise resources.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations during meal service times, promoting teamwork and efficient workflow.
* Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and utensils regularly, adhering to strict hygiene protocols to prevent contamination.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines, staying up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification) is essential, demonstrating expertise in culinary arts and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate within 5 years of validity is mandatory, highlighting your commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
* Prior experience in bulk catering environments is highly desirable, showcasing your ability to work efficiently in fast-paced kitchens.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is crucial, enabling you to make informed decisions and maintain a safe working environment.
* Australian Citizenship or full working rights in Australia is required, ensuring you meet the necessary legal and regulatory requirements.
