The Opportunity
JB Racks is looking for a Creative Strategy Lead (Content & Production) to own and scale our content engine across paid media, while supporting key brand and website shoots. We are an e-commerce brand built for adventure, and we need a leader who understands how creative strategy, production, and performance work together to drive growth
This role is responsible for owning creative strategy for performance content, leading content production, and translating performance insights into high-volume, high-converting creative. You will lead a Content & UGC Manager and oversee creators and editors, while staying hands-on when needed to script, edit, and ship winning ads under pressure.
The Role
You will sit at the intersection of brand, data, and production, with a focus on performance content. Your primary objective is to supply our paid media channels with high-volume, high-converting creative, while supporting select brand and website shoots within established creative direction.
You will lead a Content & UGC Manager and own the content production process end to end, ensuring deadlines are met, output is prioritised correctly, and all creative aligns with brand guidelines and performance objectives. You will build the systems and workflows required for the content team to operate efficiently at scale.
You will remain hands-on, scripting, editing, and iterating on creative concepts, while continuously identifying ways to improve creative performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Ideation
Own the creative strategy for paid media and performance content. Develop angles, write scripts, and storyboard ads informed by consumer psychology and historical performance data.
High-Impact Production
Produce and edit high-quality video ads using tools such as CapCut and Premiere Pro when required, with a focus on speed, clarity, and conversion.
Team Leadership
Manage and mentor a Content & UGC Manager, ensuring output is strategic, structured, and aligned to performance objectives and brand guidelines.
Creator Management
Source, brief, and direct UGC creators, influencers, and talent to generate raw assets aligned with campaign objectives and creative strategy.
Data-Led Iteration
Review creative performance on a weekly basis. Identify why creative performs or underperforms, extract learnings, and apply insights to scale winning concepts.
Systems & Operations
Design, document, and own the workflows, tools, and feedback loops that enable consistent, high-volume creative production without burnout.
About You
You are a performance-driven creative who understands how strategy, execution, and data work together to drive results. You thrive in a fast-paced DTC environment where the goal is to test quickly, learn fast, and scale what works.
The Must-Haves
* 5+ years experience producing high-performing paid social creative for E-commerce or DTC brands
* Strong hands-on editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar tools
* Deep understanding of consumer psychology and what drives scroll-stopping creative
* Proven ability to write hooks and scripts that convert cold traffic
* Leadership capability, with experience managing or mentoring junior creatives, or clear readiness to step into that role
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing high-volume weekly outputs
Bonus Points For
* Hands-on production experience supporting, assisting, or managing content shoots, including working with talent or creators on set
* Proficiency in Adobe Suite (After Effects, Photoshop) and Canva
* Previous experience in the outdoor, lifestyle, or adventure category
* Experience mentoring junior creatives or editors
