Telecommunications Technician Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled telecommunications professional to join our team.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Install, terminate, and test fibre optic, copper, and wireless communication systems.
o Assemble, connect, and secure cabling, wiring, and related hardware in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
o Identify, locate, and repair faults or malfunctions in telecommunications equipment and networks.
o Conduct performance tests and preventive maintenance to ensure system integrity and reliability.
o Install and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and patch panels.
o Assist in commissioning new systems and upgrading existing infrastructure.
o Prepare technical documentation, service records, and test results.
Successful candidates must have at least three years of relevant work experience and a solid understanding of structured cabling standards and technologies, including fibre optics and wireless communications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required for effective teamwork and client satisfaction. Must be able to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and technical manuals, and maintain accurate records of all work completed. A clean driving record and willingness to travel for project sites are essential. Australian citizens are encouraged to apply.
