Your Role - Solar Electrician
As a certified Solar Electrician, you will be a key contributor to a range of solar projects, from residential battery only installations to solar and battery bundles. You'll work alongside a supportive team, applying your electrical solar specific expertise to deliver safe, compliant and efficient solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, test and commission solar PV systems, inverters and battery storage across predominantly residential sites
* Perform electrical work including first and second fix, inverter & panel wiring, small switchboard upgrades and fault finding
* Ensure all installations meet relevant Australian Standards and safety compliance
* Deliver exceptional communication and service to clients on site
* Work collaboratively with company management and field your crew to deliver projects on time and to specification
* Communicate with clients and Energy Retailer to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Essential:
* Current A-Grade Electrical Licence
* SAA or CEC accreditation for solar installation and design
* Battery installation endorsement
* ABN for Subcontractor purposes
* REC (advantageous but not essential)
* White Card and Working at Heights certifications
* Experience with EV charger installations (advantageous but not essential)
* Proven experience in solar installations or general electrical work
* Strong understanding of electrical safety practices
* Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
* Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
* Australian work rights are required for this position
Your Role – Solar Trades Assistant
As a Solar Trades Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the installation of solar PV and battery systems across a variety of projects, from residential battery-only installs to full solar and battery packages. You'll work alongside experienced solar electricians and installers, helping deliver safe, efficient and high-quality solar energy solutions while continuing to build your skills in the renewable energy industry.
You'll be part of a supportive team where reliability, safety and teamwork are valued on every job.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the installation of solar PV systems, inverters and battery storage across predominantly residential sites
* Support electricians with first and second fix tasks including panel mounting, cable running, inverter setup and general installation work
* Assist with lifting, positioning and securing solar panels and mounting equipment on roofs
* Maintain safe work practices including proper use of harnesses and fall protection equipment
* Help prepare materials, tools and equipment for each installation
* Ensure job sites are kept clean, organised and safe throughout the installation process
* Work closely with electricians and installers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard
* Communicate professionally with team members and occasionally with customers on site
Essential
* Previous experience working on solar installations or as a Trades Assistant in the electrical or solar industry
* Electrical pre-apprenticeship or electrical trade background (advantageous)
* White Card
* Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Comfortable working on roofs and in outdoor environments
* Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
* Physically fit and capable of manual work including lifting solar panels and equipment
* Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
* Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
