About the position
The City of Greater Geraldton has a diverse building portfolio of 200+ assets comprising civic, cultural and community facilities, including heritage sites. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the planning and delivery of services across the full lifecycle of building assets through strategic oversight of maintenance, minor works and renewal programs.
Key accountabilities
* Foster a high performing, accountable, collaborative and safety focused team culture through effective, leadership, direction and support of the building maintenance team.
* Strategic development and oversight of the delivery of objectives within the Building Asset Management Plan.
* Oversee minor works and renewal project delivery, manage facilities and maintenance service contracts, and monitor associated budgets.
* Support the integration of sustainability initiatives across building assets and promote environmentally responsible, energy-efficient and resource conscious practices.
Position requirements
The successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced facilities management professional with high level interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will have the ability to deliver effective customer service to diverse user groups, support continuous improvement in systems and processes, and have a strong focus on best practice, compliant solutions.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits
A salary ranging from $126,622 to $135,470 per annum will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
