A leading boutique law firm that operates in various Australian locations, are on the hunt for a talented Lawyer with a passion for litigating and dispute resolution in Perth, WA.
Currently on offer is 100% Work From Home work arrangement with the requirement to attend court hearings, plus importantly no billable hours! If you are a Lawyer with litigation experience in debt recovery looking for an opportunity to run your own matters alongside a national team of passionate lawyers and support staff this could be the role for you.
Your new role
As the Lawyer, you will handle complex litigation cases in various jurisdictions across Australia (with WA being the primary focus), providing expert legal advice and representation to a diverse clientele.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting various legal court documents.
- Representing clients in pre-trial reviews, pre-hearing conferences, settlement conferences, court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as required.
- Liaising and negotiating with insurers and third-party lawyers.
- Conducting detailed legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
- Maintaining current knowledge of legislation and legal precedents relevant to motor vehicle litigation.
What you'll need to succeed
- 2-5 years PQE experience in civil litigation / debt recovery
- Unrestricted practising certificate
- Proven ability to manage a busy portfolio
- Strong negotiation skills with commercial acumen.
- Ability to work with deadlines and targets
- Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- A keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
- A commitment to maintaining high standards and professionalism

This role is highly unique as KPI's and bonuses are focused around file completion times and service levels, rather than billable hours.You'll be managed and mentored by a Senior Leader and you will receive regular checks in and performance reviews, this is a highly inclusive environment and you will be thoroughly supported by your Manager and the broader team to ensure you are successful.
