Overview
The Sales Lead will be required to use their Managed Services knowledge to support the client sellers during the sales lifecycle.
They will be required to provide product expertise and guidance in identifying the customer requirements and ensuring the managed services solution proposed meets the client objectives.
In some scenarios, the Sales Lead will be required to create proposals and co-pitch with the client to customers from a technical perspective.
The Sales Lead must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be able to manage multiple priorities and customers in a fast-paced environment.
This person will also be required to manage a team of Sales Consultants.
This will require them to lead and support a team by setting clear goals, providing guidance and mentorship, coordinating tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
This person must have demonstrated ability to act as a self-starter and can execute objectives and problem solve without day-to-day supervision.
A key attribute for the Sales Lead is possessing the ability to bring local and remote teams together to work on and resolve issues that arise to mitigate customer impact.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of sales consultants to achieve targets
Support sales activities, including leading sales conversations, ensuring accurate articulation of products, proposition, and differentiators.
Translate between business problems and technology solutions
Collaborate with client sales teams to engage with clients, understand business challenges, and propose products.
Work with the client and internal team to identify future needs to align with product suite
Provide specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered
Keep current with trends and technological innovations
Influence technology direction with solid analysis
Advocate for customer satisfaction to ensure the highest level of NPS
Proactively drive efforts to improve the customer's experience with our client's portfolio of products and services
Ensure the customer receives timely responses and the best possible solutions related to their requirements
Maintain regular contact with the client's Sales team/Account Manager assigned to the account
Develop and maintain positive customer relations with business contacts
Skills and Competencies
2 – 3 years' experience in Sales, pre-sales or related role with working knowledge of:
M365 features and technical attributes, with certifications a plus.
A good understanding of ITIL (information technology infrastructure library) service management processes
Technical account level exposure desired related to small business M365, Microsoft Cloud, and basic networking.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring skill development and career growth
Demonstrated ability of a high degree of independence and the ability to be proactive and solution oriented
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Strong written, verbal and communication skills
Generate innovative ideas and the ability to challenge the status quo, particularly in the identification of opportunities within assigned accounts
Project management training and experience is a plus
Express a passion for technology and keeping informed of market trends
Confidence in making technical and business decisions
Education
BS/BA degree and technology background strongly preferred
Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
Working conditions
This role is based in Melbourne or Ballarat Victoria and required to be in the office.
Some travel may be required
