As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation of the strategy and execution of client SEO campaigns. In the role, you will:
* Identify and prioritise SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) opportunities to grow qualified traffic, engagement, and conversions in line with commercial success metrics
* Conduct keyword, intent, and topic research (including entity-based and AI-search considerations) and develop clear, structured content briefs for copywriters
* Optimise websites for traditional search engines and AI-driven search experiences (e.g. Google SGE, LLM-powered results, voice and conversational search)
* Perform technical SEO audits (site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema, international SEO where relevant) and provide clear, prioritised recommendations to inform development roadmaps
* Support and guide the implementation of structured data, entity optimisation, and content clustering to improve visibility across search and AI platforms
* Develop and execute ethical, scalable link-building and digital PR strategies aligned with brand authority and long-term growth
* Monitor, analyse, and interpret SEO, GEO, and AI-search performance using tools such as GA4, Search Console, and third-party platforms; translate insights into actionable recommendations
* Track performance against KPIs and clearly communicate results, insights, and next steps to internal teams and clients
* Collaborate closely with content, paid media and development teams to ensure SEO is embedded across the broader digital strategy
* Maintain and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted SEO advisor and strategic partner
* Mentor, support, and oversee junior team members, contributing to process improvement, knowledge sharing, and team capability uplift
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have experience and have performed a similar role within either an agency or client-side environment.
* Strong proficiency with industry tools including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics (GA4)
* A solid understanding of on-page, technical, off-page, international, and eCommerce SEO, with the ability to prioritise initiatives based on impact
* Experience optimising eCommerce platforms (including category, product, and collection pages) to drive organic revenue and conversions
* Working knowledge of international SEO best practices, including hreflang, site structure, and geo-targeting considerations
* Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and other popular CMS platforms
* Experience collaborating with content teams and developers, translating SEO recommendations into clear, actionable briefs
* Understanding of AI-driven search, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), and entity-based SEO, or a strong interest in learning and applying these in practice
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical, commercial recommendations
* Confidence communicating performance, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects or clients concurrently
* Up-to-date knowledge of search engine algorithm changes, AI developments, and SEO best practices, with a proactive, test-and-learn mindset
* A collaborative approach and willingness to mentor and oversee junior team members
