PWR is currently looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to assist PWR's Pilbara Fire Division.
The right person will have exposure to aspects of electrical installation and certification of fire detection and suppression systems.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining and servicing all Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Fighting Equipment to Australian Standards
- Setting up, installing, networking and programming various types of Detection Sensors (e.g.: Xtralis / VESDA systems)
- Fault finding on various fire systems, networks and access control systems
- Installation and programming of fire panels from various manufacturers (e.g.: AMPAC, Notifier and Vigilant)
- Installation and programming of various site monitoring systems (e.g.: Graphics, SCADA)
- Installation and servicing of gaseous suppression systems and equipment
- Developing and maintaining Fire Alarm System and Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) reports and documentation
- Servicing of Portable Fire Equipment
- Adhoc tasks as required
To be successful in your application you must have:
- Current ‘A’ class Electrical license or Open Cabling Registration
- EAHL License (2,3,6) – preferred, but not essential
- Room Integrity testing experience – preferred, but not essential
- Certificate II in Fire Protection Testing and Inspection – preferred, but not essential
- A valid Manual Australian driver's License
- Previous experience in the fire industry
