About the Role
Join SA Health as an Allied Health Assistant - Occupational Therapy in our Casual Pool at Lyell McEwin Health Service, Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. This casual position offers flexible work arrangements until 31 July 2027, perfect for those seeking work-life balance whilst making a meaningful difference in patient care. Working within our occupational therapy team, you will support patients on their journey to independence and improved quality of life. You will assist qualified occupational therapists in delivering evidence-based interventions across diverse clinical settings in Adelaide's northern metropolitan region.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist occupational therapists with patient assessments and treatment programs
* Support patients with activities of daily living and therapeutic exercises
* Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
* Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and resources
* Provide compassionate patient care in accordance with SA Health standards
To be eligible for this position, you must possess or be undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
About You
In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.
