Senior Contract Administrator
The role involves providing technical contracts administration and oversight for commercial activities within allocated projects. Key responsibilities include:
* Administration of upstream Head Contracts and downstream Supply/Subcontracts
* Maintaining commercial registers
* Ensuring performance and delivery of project scope
* Assessing event impacts, managing claims, and extensions of time (EOTs)
* Supporting accurate progress claims, forecasting, and reporting
* Following contract manuals and leading change management, including design changes
* Coordinating prompt issuance of subcontracts and supply contracts, ensuring compliance
* Driving contract management processes, including variation and change claims
* Collaborating with internal teams (procurement, finance, legal, controls)
* Assisting in negotiations and dispute resolution; providing data for upstream claims
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Law, Commerce, Engineering, or similar
* Extensive experience in commercial/contract management for construction, services, or manufacturing
* Familiarity with contract management software is advantageous
* Expertise in both traditional and collaborative contracting
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
* Effective communication in multidisciplinary teams
* Knowledge of warranty, defects, acceptance, testing, and commissioning
* Ability to influence stakeholders and lead teams to resolve issues
* Proactive, decisive, and focused on achieving best commercial outcomes
