Gasweld Tools have an opportunity available for an IT Support Officer to join our team.
This is a full time position, based at our Head Office in Lambton.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing technical support to end-users on various software or hardware infrastructure to resolve hardware, software, network and other IT related issues or queries.
* Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, software applications and operating systems.
* Maintain and implement cyber security and information security policies across the various IT system.
* Administer user account and access permissions in various IT systems and manage the creation, modification and deactivation of user accounts as per established policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify IT equipment and software requirements and assist with the procurement process by researching, evaluating and recommending suitable products or services.
* Maintain inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses and peripherals and track asset allocation through auditing processes.
Skills and Experience Required
* Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and operating systems.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with end users and provide clear instructions and technical guidance.
* Attention to detail when troubleshooting technical issues and documenting support activities accurately ensuring that all problems are fully resolved and preventing potential errors or omissions.
* Absolute confidentiality, professionalism, integrity and a commitment to data privacy and protection.
* Ability to build a strong rapport across all levels of the business and to work well autonomously or in an team based environment.
* A valid driver's licence as travel to operational site will be a requirement for this role.
