Job Overview
The Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for producing discipline-specific design deliverables to support the project.
This includes developing designs to satisfy technical specifications, producing design deliverables throughout the design process, and preparing installation, commissioning, and operating documents.
The successful candidate will also contribute to design reviews and safety reviews, prepare technical specifications, and ensure quality and timely delivery of design documentation throughout all phases of the design process.
Key Responsibilities
* Development of designs to satisfy technical specifications
* Production of design deliverables throughout the design process
* Preparation of installation, commissioning, and operating documents
* Checking design deliverables
* Contribution to design reviews and safety reviews
* Preparation of technical specifications
* Ensuring quality and timely delivery of design documentation throughout all phases of the design process
* Compliance with safety legislation and statutory regulations
* Developing cost-effective technical solutions
Requirements
* Degree-qualified in a relevant technical or engineering discipline or demonstrable experience
* Working towards or already having Professional Registration in a discipline-specific engineering institution (e.g. EngTech or IEng with the IET)
* Knowledge of the fundamentals within your engineering discipline
* Previous experience in the role of design in a highly regulated industry
* Proven track record of successfully delivering design solutions
* Good understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations
* Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
* Commercial awareness
