West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is seeking friendly, organised and motivated Ward Clerks to provide vital clerical and administrative support across our Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit on a casual basis (weekday/weekend). This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast‐paced healthcare environment and enjoys helping others.

Casuals are employed on an 'as needs' basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.

As a Ward Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, handling reception duties, answering telephone enquiries, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting the day‐to‐day operations of the ward. You will work closely with clinical staff to coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges, organise follow‐up appointments, and ensure all documentation is handled with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications & Skills
* Admin or reception experience
* Excellent organisation and time management
* Accurate data entry and typing
* Great communication and customer service
* A professional, confidential approach
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Flexibility in a fast‐paced environment
* Medical terminology knowledge
* Cert III in Business Admin or similar
* Experience in healthcare settings

Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.
