Nurse Unit Manager – Inpatient Oncology and Haematology Unit

About the Role
We are seeking a agile, experienced nursing leader to be the next Nurse Unit Manager of our 22‑bed inpatient Haematology/Oncology unit. The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is a professional and clinical leader in Cancer Services, responsible for promoting safety, quality and patient‑centred care across the 6W team. The NUM reports directly to the Operations Manager of Cancer Services.
Classifications for this position will range from NM11 – NM12 ($126,074 – $130,509.60 per annum pro‑rata).
Responsibilities
- Lead nursing staff and other health‑care professionals in delivering the highest standard of patient care, incorporating the mission and values of the Sisters of Charity.
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement through reviewing systems and processes, implementing changes via audits, reporting and quality initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated nursing leadership experience.
- Proven ability to lead exceptional safe, patient‑centred care.
- Registered nurse with an AHPRA‑registered degree.
- Post‑graduate qualification in Cancer Nursing.
- Current completion and competency of the ADAC course.
