About the role
We seek a values-driven Cook to order food and supplies, maintain kitchen cleanliness, undertake scheduled cleaning tasks, and prepare healthy dinners and lunches for clients at Geelong Withdrawal Unit.
You will successfully
* Plan, prepare, and produce nutritional meals following weekly menus, including dinner for up to 14 clients and next day lunch ingredients.
* Assist with food ordering by taking stock of supplies.
* Ensure kitchen and pantry cleanliness according to food safety standards and maintain appliance temperature records.
* Participate in performance appraisal and supervision processes.
* Comply with WHS acts and guidelines, report risks, and follow safe work instructions.
You will have
* Experience in meal planning and preparation in residential settings with menu constraints.
* Certificate III in hospitality, commercial cookery, or relevant industry experience.
* Food Handlers Certificate.
* A valid Working with Children’s Check.
This is a permanent, part-time role (10 hours/week) located in Corio, VIC, with salary and conditions in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Level 3 Award.
