Total Commercial Equipment is seeking an Operations Assistant/Storeperson to join its Operations department.
The Operations department is responsible for all deliveries, installations and machine programming for our diverse product range of commercial laundry and kitchen equipment.
The Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Operations Assistant/Storeperson to work in our Operations department.
Duties will include forklift driving to load and unload vehicles and containers, general warehouse and store duties, programming and dispatch of equipment, delivering of orders using a tailgate vehicle, and the installation and assembly of a diverse range of commercial equipment, all while working with basic tools and lifting equipment. This responsible role will require the applicant to have some technical and practical ability and the desire to increase their knowledge in these areas.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have;
The ability to communicate well with staff, contractors, suppliers and customers.
The ability to perform manual work.
Some ability with technical and practical applications is required.
The ability and desire to learn about technical and practical issues relating to this role.
The ability to use basic hand and power tools in a safe manner.
A drivers license is essential and a truck license is advantageous.
A forklift license is also essential.
An enthusiastic and positive attitude, with the ability to work well in a team setting.
The ability to use initiative.
The desire to learn, grow and prosper in this fast paced warehouse environment.
