About the engagement: Green Light is seeking a motivated Radio Frequency Field Engineer based around Rural NSW and Metro NSW. You will be part of the System Integration team and be responsible for designing and guiding the technical implementation of government and commercial communications system solutions, leveraging new technologies and approaches sourced from both inside and outside of enterprise Solutions.
AMCA cabling license is required.
Responsibilities
* Manage and/or perform implementation of communication system solutions and services which satisfy the requirements of the customer, end user and operator.
* Provides technical support for Solution Staging, as required.
* Responsible for the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning with 3rd party solutions (with support from supplier/vendor)
* Responsible for identifying, investigating, and troubleshooting of technical issues during project implementation.
* Responsible for on‐site Acceptance Tests, while coordinating the technical aspects of the acceptance testing.
* Update of technical documentation and technical change management
* Installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Astro P‐25 Systems (Trunking and Conventional systems)
* Installing and commissioning voice IP‐based switching equipment as per system design.
* Configuring and commissioning radio equipment's according to documentation.
* Testing of equipment and Feeders installed with their relevant testing gears.
* Providing technical assistance during system trials and post commissioning.
* Providing system troubleshooting and rectification of technical issues.
* Ensuring installation and configuration is in accordance with documentation and quality installation standards.
* Maintaining IT and linking system related to Two‐way Digital radio.
Requirements
* Experience with 2 way digital radio including either P‐25 OR TETRA OR Mototrbo
* Proficient in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
* Experience working with T-pass combining, transceivers, rf antennas, coaxial cabling, trunking and conventional systems.
* Experience with router and switch configuration and programming
* Knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
* Experience with logging recording systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communications systems, and networking equipment.
* Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
* Must have a current, valid driver's license and no traffic violations.
