Location: Hybrid, with attendance at Haymarket (McKell Building), Gosford, Bathurst or Tweed Heads required two days per week and occasional NSW-wide travel for inspections. This may be subject to change in line with DCS workplace policies.

The Business Analyst will play a key role in managing financial processes and reporting within the Property Management team. You will be responsible for analysing complex information, maintaining budgets, and ensuring compliance with government processes and legislation. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to team objectives.
About the team
The role sits within the Property Management team, which manages the ongoing lifecycle of PSN sites, including all income and expenses related to colocation and site facilities. You'll join a supportive, fast‐paced team committed to operational excellence and delivering value for the community.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing monthly rental and site cost payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
* Maintaining, monitoring, and reporting on the Property team budget and forecasting to support financial planning.
* Creating purchase orders and processing invoices in line with compliance requirements.
* Preparing monthly reports and providing data insights for internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintaining GIPA compliance and contributing to audit requirements and documentation.
* Supporting data reporting and analysis to inform decision‐making and operational improvements.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
* Essential Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and retain minimum Baseline Security clearance within six months to work with sensitive government and critical communications information.
* SAP Expertise: You have proven experience using SAP accounting systems to manage financial processes effectively. Property Finance Background: You bring strong knowledge of property‐related financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
* Organisational Skills: You are highly organised, detail‐oriented, and able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Stakeholder Engagement: You can communicate effectively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
Nice to have
* Experience in government processes and legislation.
