The objective of the Senior Software Engineer (Guidewire) is to work with Tribe, Platform leaders and the Engineering Practice to design, develop and implement improvements to our capability in Engineering.
This role encompasses systems analysis, design, development, maintenance, and ongoing support for Suncorp\'s Guidewire software, as well as coaching and mentoring junior Engineers.What you'll do Coach and mentor engineers to improve engineering capabilities and embed best practicesHighly proficient in delivery of technical projects using AgilePrioritise and drive Automation in deliveryEmbed a DevOps/DevSecOps mindset and practices within the teamIdentify opportunities to improve development processes and standardsDevelop a highly collaborative working relationship with delivery teams and stakeholdersWhat you'll bring 5+ years software engineering experiencePrevious experience of coaching and mentoring engineersProficiency in Guidewire ClaimCenter, Contact Manager, and Guidewire system/business frameworksProficiency in developing integration solutions including Batch Processes, Message Queues and Event MessagingProven track record of integrating ClaimCenter with external systemsStrong experience in development frameworks (Java/Spring/Spring Boot), Gosu (for Guidewire), Cloud (AWS/Azure), Databases (SQL/ORM/JDBC), REST APIs and DevOpsProven Testing skills including ATDD and BDDWhat You'll Enjoy Access our award-winning Shine platform – your central hub for exclusive perks, wellbeing support, career development, and recognition.
