Our Boral Asphalt team is currently seeking a proactive and skilled Fitter / Workshop Coordinator to join our team in Toowoomba, QLD 4350.This role is ideal for a trade qualified professional or individual with a strong mechanical expertise and / or knowledge who enjoys both hands-on maintenance and overseeing workshop operations.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fixed and mobile equipment, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring operational efficiency.Your day will involve :Performing and coordinating maintenance on a diverse range of asphalt fixed and mobile equipmentResponding to and managing breakdowns to ensure minimal downtimeIdentifying and resolving mechanical faults using engineering drawings and P&ID'sManaging inventory, stock take, and workshop cleanlinessScheduling and prioritising maintenance tasks effectivelyEnsuring adherence to Boral's Workplace Health and Safety requirementsAvailability for flexible work schedules, including day, night, and Saturday shifts (penalty rates apply)What are we looking for?Sound mechanical knowledge, hydraulics, and auto electrical systems based on experienceHeavy vehicle licenses preferred - Car license minimumForklift / EWP licences are advantageousStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently and take initiativeExcellent organisation and coordination skillsWhat's on offer?Competitive pay rate plus RDO and OT benefitsAccess to employee support programs, including the Boral Employee Assistance ProgramCareer development opportunities within a leading national construction companyA supportive team environment focused on safety and quality
