We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pump Fitter to join a collaborative team at a reputable company committed to safety and community support. About the role
This residential position works a 7/7 roster, days only, working 12-hour shifts. The role involves conducting preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and installations while upholding high safety and environmental standards. Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and technical support for staff are essential.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Supervisor, your duties will include:
* Ensure all fixed plant equipment at Fosterville Goldmine and contractor sites is operated, maintained and repaired safely in compliance with site standards and regulations.
* Conduct, coordinate and execute preventative, statutory and breakdown maintenance, and installations in alignment with the maintenance schedule.
* Prioritise unplanned and breakdown repairs effectively, ensuring minimal downtime and clear communication with other departments.
* Accurately capture all work and transactions using Pronto and Obzervr systems.
* Effectively communicate maintenance activities across relevant departments and assist in daily pre‑start meetings.
* Provide technical support, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and actively contribute as a team member.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
* Relevant Mechanical Trade.
* Experience with Mine Fixed Plant Mechanical Installations and Maintenance. Mine dewatering systems and pumps – Flygt submersible and Helical Rotor dewatering pumps.
* Knowledge of mine secondary and primary ventilation fans is desirable.
* Continuous improvement focus and ability to handle change.
* Good communication/interpersonal skills and willingness to work as part of a team with a focus on overall department outcomes.
