Are you an experienced Business Analyst with strong exposure to Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI)? We're partnering with a major enterprise in the resources sector to support a large‐scale Observability uplift program, specifically focused on the rollout and operationalisation of ITSI.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high‐visibility program modernising monitoring, service modelling, and operational intelligence across a complex environment.
About the Role:
As the Business Analyst, you will play a key role in translating business and operational needs into actionable requirements to support the implementation of Splunk ITSI. You'll work closely with engineering teams, product owners, operations, and stakeholders to ensure a successful rollout and strong adoption.
You'll be involved in requirement gathering, service model design support, UAT coordination, documentation, and working sessions to define KPIs, health scoring, and observability workflows.
What You'll Be Working On:
* Supporting the rollout and implementation of Splunk ITSI within a large enterprise environment.
* Collaborate with service owners and engineering stakeholders to define services, use cases, and success criteria for ITSI initiatives.
* Translate operational pain points—such as alert noise, lack of visibility, and delayed detection—into clear business requirements and prioritised actions.
* Support data discovery and data onboarding activities by identifying critical data sources and articulating their operational relevance.
* Contribute to shaping KPIs, thresholds, and service health definitions that meaningfully reflect operational risk and business impact.
* Apply strong Business Analysis fundamentals within IT operations, monitoring, or observability-focused environments.
* Work effectively with engineers, operators, and product teams to align technical and operational perspectives.
* Distill complex systems and processes into clear service definitions and measurable outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise IT environments
Hands‐on experience with Splunk ITSI (implementation, service models, dashboards, KPIs, or configuration support)
Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, incident/problem management, or IT operations
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder‐management skills
Strong documentation and process‐mapping capability
Ability to work across technical and business teams in a fast‐paced environment
Experience within large, complex or resources‐sector environments (highly regarded)
Why Apply?
* Opportunity to work on a major Observability uplift project
* Highly collaborative culture within a large‐scale enterprise
* Strong likelihood of extension beyond the initial 4‐month term
* Perth‐based role with real influence and visibility
