Overview
Senior Estimating Manager – HVAC & Mechanical Projects. Lead the Sydney‐based estimating function for a nationally recognised Tier 1 contractor delivering large‐scale commercial, healthcare, defence and government projects.
Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of four estimators.
* Manage the end‐to‐end tendering process for major projects.
* Review project documentation, specifications and design requirements.
* Develop winning tender strategies and pricing methodologies.
* Manage subcontractor and supplier pricing submissions.
* Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
* Present tender submissions to senior stakeholders and clients.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, consultants and key industry stakeholders.
* Drive consistency, accuracy and best‐practice estimating processes across the business.
Qualifications
* Extensive HVAC / Mechanical estimating experience (5‐10 years).
* Previous experience leading an estimating team within a mechanical services contractor.
* Successful history of delivering tenders on projects ranging from $50 M to $200 M+.
* Strong exposure to large‐scale commercial construction projects.
* Exceptional leadership and people‐management capabilities.
* Advanced commercial and contractual understanding.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and client‐facing skills.
* Confidence and credibility to present to clients, consultants and executive leadership teams.
* Polished, professional approach and strong communication skills.
