FREQUENCY: All day Thursday, Saturday Mornings, Sunday Mornings.

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER:Laurel Hosking
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Deliver high-quality, personalized care to clients with disabilities, respecting their dignity and independence.
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including showering, toileting, and maintaining personal hygiene, with sensitivity and respect for individual preferences.
* Support clients with manual handling tasks, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
* Support clients with domestic tasks including cleaning and laundry, to help maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
* Manage special domestic projects in consultation with employer.
* Help with meal delivery and assist with access to snacks and drinks throughout the day, considering individual preferences and dietary restrictions.
* Communicate effectively with clients and their families, building trusting relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
* Monitor clients for any signs of discomfort or changes in condition, particularly related to pressure care wounds.
* Report any concerns or changes in the client's condition to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
* Assist with pressure care as per the client's care plan, including regular repositioning and skin inspections.
* Follow proper procedures for wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and documenting any changes.
* Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both clients and staff.
* Other general duties as discussed with employer.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
* Minimum Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent experience
* Current First Aid, Police Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check
Experience:
* Experience working with High Need Patients
* Experience working with disabled patients

* Effective verbal communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in methods of communication, particularly active listening.

* Flexibility and availability to work occasional weekend and evening shifts following consultation with employer.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $26.30 – $75.46 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
