We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Leisure Team Leader to join our Active, Communities and Partnerships department to manage the operations of Latrobe Leisure Morwell, to ensure delivery of a range of programs and initiatives that are responsive to community needs.
About This Role
The Leisure Facilities Leader plays a pivotal role in developing and managing staff within the leisure facility to ensure appropriate personnel are engaged to provide consistent, quality programs and services.
In this role, you will also be responsible for supporting and assisting external user groups and other facility patrons, helping to ensure the facility is welcoming, accessible, and well utilised by the community.
The position objectives also include:
* Provide clear direction, support, and mentoring to staff to ensure a motivated, skilled, and customer-focused team
* Oversee daily facility operations to ensure efficient service delivery, smooth programming, and effective use of resources.
* Manage the revenue and expenditure within the areas of responsibility in the specific leisure facility and contribute to the overall Leisure budget.
* Prepare reports and statistical data for monthly reporting and ensure requirements are met within specified time frames.
About You
We are seeking a passionate leader to manage the Morwell Leisure Facilities to achieve great customer service satisfaction with current and prospective members in the community.
You will need:
* Qualifications and/or extensive experience in financial and staff management.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement services, programs, and activities.
* Demonstrated experience in fostering a high level of customer service, where the community is the central focus and a high-level communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
* A current Drivers Licence
* Ability to use computer applications including Microsoft Office.
Must have or be prepared to obtain:
* Current Pool Lifeguard qualification.
* Defibrillation Certificate, First Aid Certificate
* Pool Operations Certificate
* Food Operations Certificate
