The Role:
This casual opportunity involves working closely with residents to support their daily living, social, and emotional needs. As a Multiskilled Carer, you will work as part of a collaborative team to ensure residents feel welcome and respected at all times.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care and supporting residents in maintaining or restoring their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist residents with personal care needs such as bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other personal care requirements
* Support residents in maintaining or restoring their independence by assisting with activities of interest and mobility aids as needed
* Complete accurate and timely documentation, reporting relevant information to Nursing, Allied Health, and Management as required
* Maintain effective workplace communication, demonstrating respect, openness to change, and kindness
* Assist with medication administration in accordance with facility policies
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care (desirable)
* Experience working within an aged care setting as a carer
* Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with health professionals, service providers, and case managers
* Ability to interpret individual care plans and provide tailored care to meet individual goals
* Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
* Understanding of cognitive strategies, social interaction, and meeting the mental and emotional health needs of residents
