As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Residential Carpenter to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of carpentry tasks, ranging from framing to finishing work, contributing to the successful construction of beautiful, functional residential spaces. You will collaborate with a team of tradespeople, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
About the Role:
As a Residential Carpenter at Taz Building Group, you will:
Install and maintain timber and steel framing, and other structural elements of residential buildings.
Construct, install, and repair key structural components such as walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
Fit doors, windows, architraves, skirting boards, and cabinetry.
Install insulation, weatherproofing, and cladding to ensure durability and energy efficiency.
Measure and cut materials to precise specifications.
Ensure all work is carried out to high standards of quality, in compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience as a Residential Carpenter, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in the residential construction industry.
A Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of building materials and construction techniques.
Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Experience in framing, roofing, cabinetry, and finishing carpentry is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
A valid driver's license and reliable transport.
White Card (Construction Induction) and other relevant licenses (e.g., working at heights) are preferred.
