We're currently hiring Duty Managers to join our teams at Molly Malone's (Devonport) and Hotel Federal (Wynyard), two well‐established pubs at the heart of Tasmania's Northwest.
Whether you're local or considering a move from the mainland, this is your opportunity to step into a hands‐on leadership role within venues known for their strong community feel, loyal regulars, and fast‐paced, people‐focused environment.
What you can expect in a day in the role
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you'll take the lead on shift, running day‐to‐day operations across gaming, bar, and food service.
No two days are the same, whether it's a packed night service, a steady afternoon trade, or keeping the gaming room running seamlessly. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
* Lead the team on shift to deliver great customer experiences
* Oversee daily operations across bar, gaming, and food service
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and gaming regulations
* Support rostering and break management
* Handle customer issues and resolve problems quickly and professionally
What you will bring to the role
With experience in bar and gaming operations within hospitality or a related industry, you'll bring a positive attitude and a hands‐on approach. We're looking for someone who has:
* Experience in a supervisory or Duty Manager role
* Strong background in bar and gaming operations
* Confident communicator who can lead from the front
* Current RSA & RCG for Tasmania (or willing to obtain)
* Flexibility to work a range of morning, night and weekend shifts, including public holidays
