Senior project officer (transition)

The role: Reporting to the Manager Service Transition, you will be responsible for facilitating project transition to business as usual in line with the Queensland Health transition management framework, processes and practices. You will facilitate and guide stakeholders through the process, managing service readiness information and activities so the operations teams are prepared to manage, operate and support the changed service. In addition to this, you will: * Identify, track and report transition management deliverables such as service support models, training plans, operational expenditure funding and resourcing and products across the investment and delivery lifecycle. * Support the development of service support models in partnership with service owners and stakeholders as required for ICT services transitioning from project delivery into operations. * Promote and ensure use of appropriate transition management framework, phases, processes and tools, including transition planning, operational requirements gathering, and service readiness, to ensure quality project transitioning to support functions. * Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders to ensure an end-to-end focus exists for all transition management processes. * Facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships with service owners, customers and support teams. Are you right for this role? To be successful in the role, you will have proven experience in a medium scale IM/ICT project management environment, preferably in the health care industry (SFIA Skill: PRMG: Level 5) and proven ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate the business change decision-making processes, and the planning and implementation of change. (SFIA Skill: RLMT: Level 5). Furthermore, you will have an understanding of appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and an ability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools (SFIA Skill: METL: Level 5) and proven effective negotiation, consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
