About the role:

The Research Fellow will initiate, design and conduct productive, high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs in their discipline area. The Research Fellow may lead and research activities and is expected to engage collaboratively to develop novel research outcomes. This position is suited to a researcher keen to explore and build on new areas and foster research and researcher development to have real-world impact and contribute to a dynamic and enthusiastic research team.

As a Quantitative Research Fellow, you will:
* Lead and support the design, programming and implementation of large-scale, nationally representative education surveys using Qualtrics, ensuring methodological rigour and high-quality data collection.
* Initiate, design and conduct quantitative research using advanced statistical methods including multilevel modelling, psychometric scale validation (EFA/CFA), structural equation modelling and causal inference approaches appropriate for complex education datasets.
* Advise on survey methodology, sampling strategy and weighting procedures (e.g., post‐stratification, raking) to ensure valid and reliable national estimates.
* Clean, validate and manage large-scale survey datasets and ensure reproducibility through well‐documented analytical code and workflows.
* Contribute to peer‐reviewed publications, policy reports and dissemination activities that enhance national impact and research excellence.
To be successful, you'll have:
* PhD in Education, Educational Psychology, Educational Measurement, Public Policy, Sociology, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or a closely related discipline.
* Demonstrated expertise in Qualtrics survey programming for large-scale surveys.
* Strong knowledge of survey methodology, sampling design and weighting procedures.
* Advanced quantitative analysis skills using R, Stata, SPSS, MPlus or Python.
* Experience managing nationally representative survey datasets and conducting complex statistical analyses (including multilevel modelling and SEM).
