This role is a fixed-term, full-time position as Research Assistant. You will contribute to an externally funded research project on microplastic detection and quantification in soil and water samples.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare environmental samples for analysis including sampling, processing, and sieving.
* Conduct chemical, physical, and microbiological analysis on soil, plant, and environmental samples with expertise in microplastic analysis.
* Complete testing within required timeframes following established protocols and directions from the Lab Manager.
About You
* Bachelor or Master of Science degree in analytical chemistry, soil science, environmental science, or equivalent areas.
* Demonstrated ability to collect and prepare environmental samples for analysis.
* Strong capability to complete laboratory testing accurately and efficiently within required timeframes.
