HVAC Supervisor Role Overview
KBR is currently seeking an experienced HVAC supervisor to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will lead a team of technicians in delivering high-quality services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Planning: Collaborate with the project team to identify key success factors, design and procurement deliverables, and establish common work breakdown structures.
* Leadership: Develop organizational structures and processes necessary for effective execution of HVAC services, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
* HVAC Service Execution: Oversee the execution of HVAC services, ensuring they meet contract requirements, design specifications, schedules, cost budgets, and quality standards.
* Evaluation and Advice: Continuously evaluate progress, advising the project team on status, issues, potential impacts, risks, and cost influencing factors of ongoing scope.
* Safety Practices: Implement safety orientations, safety indoctrinations, and gang box meetings, providing coaching to improve safety practices among the crew.
* Crew Organization and Compliance: Monitor the organizational structure of the crew, including sizing, crew mix ratios, and compliance with wage regulations.
* Costs and Budgets: Review and monitor cost and man-hour budget for the HVAC installation process, making adjustments as necessary to stay within financial limits.
* Resource Planning: Develop plans for staffing, facilities, equipment, and tools required to meet project needs, ensuring resources are effectively allocated and used.
* Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed set standards.
* Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
* Crew Performance: Identify areas for improvement within the crew's performance and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
Requirements:
* A minimum of seven years of HVAC technician experience.
* A minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
* Journeyman or Master HVAC License, or equivalent.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
* Adaptability to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
* Decision-making ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
