About the RoleUnder the direction of the Program Manager for Industry Engagement, the Team Leader oversees the daily operations of a team of transactional staff responsible for delivering administrative services in Professional Experience within the School of Education. This position supervises a team of Professional Experience Officers while receiving guidance from the Program Manager for Industry Engagement. The Team Leader is also responsible for coordinating the delivery of high-quality administrative functions, ensuring that pre-service teachers (students) and educational partners (schools and early learning centres) receive accurate, consistent, and timely support and advice regarding the facilitation of student practicums. Your responsibilities will includeCoordinate and supervise a team of Professional Experience Officers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the university community and external partners. Provide guidance to the team in addressing complex queries and escalate issues to the Program Manager and School Business Manager as needed. Foster a positive work environment within the team by offering mentoring, staff planning, training, and development to ensure adequate coverage and skill sets to meet service objectives. Collaborate with the Program Manager to contribute to the team's performance management process. Work with the Program Manager for Professional Experience and Student Engagement to ensure that service level agreements are met and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Regularly report to management on the team's activities and performance against key performance indicators. Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of customer experience and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of services. Approve practicum invoice payments for mentor teachers and supervisors within the designated authority. Stay informed about industry trends and relevant payment rates to ensure university compliance with minimum pay rates across Australia. Undertake any additional activities that may reasonably be required, consistent with the responsibilities and accountabilities listed above.
