- $45,207 - $61,485 (salary dependant on age)

Are you someone who loves the outdoors, has a green thumb, and is ready to get hands-on experience maintaining some of the most beautiful parks and natural spaces in the South West?
The City of Busselton is on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic Local Government Trainee to join our Parks and Environment team. Over 12 months, you’ll not only get paid to work in the excellent outdoors, but you’ll also complete a Certificate III in Horticulture.

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be part of a passionate and experienced team working across:
- Maintaining our stunning parks, gardens, foreshore areas, and natural spaces
- Landscaping, planting, pruning, mulching, and fertilising
- Operating a range of tools and machinery
- Learning about weed and pest control, turf care, nursery work and more
- Helping build and maintain new and existing green spaces across the City
- Providing friendly customer service while proudly representing the City of Busselton
Who we’re looking for:
You don’t need alot of experience (just the right attitude!) and ideally will:
- Love being outdoors and working with nature
- Eager to learn and be committed to completing your Certificate III in Horticulture
- Work well in a team and bring a positive, can-do attitude
- Communicate clearly and show initiative
- Follow safety procedures and take pride in your work
Pre-employment Requirements:
- A current C Class driver’s licence
- National Police Clearance
- Pre-employment Medical
- A Valid White Card (can be completed online)
- Proof of right to work in Australia
