Role
We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to support the installation, configuration and commissioning of electronic security systems. The role involves working both at our Kirrawee office and across various client sites, ensuring systems are installed, tested and operational in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Install and integrate electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, alarm systems and intercoms
* Configure system components, including controllers, field devices and associated software
* Assist with system commissioning, including setup, programming and performance verification
* Conduct testing to ensure systems operate in accordance with specifications and client requirements
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across hardware, software and network-connected systems
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and installation plans
* Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations and test outcomes
* Support client handover by ensuring systems are functional and providing basic operational guidance
* Liaise with project managers, engineers and other technicians to ensure timely project delivery
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant standards
Skills
* Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot electronic security systems and related equipment
* Sound knowledge of low-voltage systems, structured cabling and IP-based technologies
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and system specifications
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities across hardware and software environments
* Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical documentation
Experience
* At least one year of relevant work experience in the installation, maintenance or commissioning of electronic or security systems
* Experience working with systems such as CCTV, access control, alarms or similar technologies
* Exposure to system configuration, testing and fault diagnosis in a field-based environment
* Familiarity with workplace safety requirements and industry standards
Qualifications
* Relevant trade qualification (or equivalent) in electronics, electrical systems, telecommunications or a related field
* Candidates with substantial, hands-on industry experience in lieu of formal qualifications may also be considered
Licences & Requirements
* Current NSW Driver Licence
* NSW Security Licence (or ability to obtain)
* Cabling registration and White Card (preferred)
