If you are passionate and motivated to pursue a career in Anaesthetics and are interested in living by the beach on the beautiful NSW South Coast, you could be the perfect anaesthetist to join the professionals at Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). 
We're looking for a qualified anaesthetist who can: 
Support the development of anaesthetic services 
Support and facilitate a culture of learning and best practice 
Support and develop anaesthesia research within the department 
Commit to join our team for a minimum of 470 hours per annum 
Be confident working on a variety of cases including paediatric patients 
Applications from Staff Specialists are welcome. 
Salary for permanent 1 FTE is $262,376 - $354,479 plus superannuation guarantee levy and any other applicable allowances as per the Staff Specialist State Award. 
Staff Specialist Benefits

For Visiting Medical Officers interested in the position, you will be expected to participate in reasonable on-call shared amongst your anaesthetic colleagues.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. 
The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
