About the Role:
Catherine Booth House is a refuge for women experiencing domestic and family violence. It provides safe and confidential supported crisis accommodation for up to 12 women, 18 years and over from all cultural backgrounds. The refuge is open 24/7 where we have specialist family violence practitioners and support workers available to offer support and services including: risk assessment, safety planning, case planning and goal setting, referrals, information and advocacy.
We have an incredible permanent full time opportunity for a Family Violence Team Leader to provide supervision, support and guidance to 7 staff in the Case Management team to be able to undertake intake/assessment and manage case load. This role is instrumental in providing operational leadership including specialist family violence case management, outreach and afterhours response services ensuring child focussed, strength based and trauma informed practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Family Violence service management including oversight over a range of internal practices, policies and guidelines, including case management
* Provide high level professional leadership to the workforce and observe best practice management standards
* Programmatic management including oversight of quality and compliance to ensure accreditation standards are met
* Deliver an effective high-quality family violence service with ability to demonstrate that interventions make a difference to the lives of women and children post family violence
About you:
* Degree qualification in Social Work or similar qualifications is essential and demonstrated relevant work experience
* Experience in the family violence sector and managing or coordinating residential care settings
* Experience in managing and overseeing case management and outreach support services
* Experience working with financial operating budgets and managing staff
* Well-developed liaison and communication skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate with relevant agencies in the service sector and the public
* WWCC and willingness to undergo police clearance as part of the recruitment process
