Job Opportunity: Financial Management Expert
We are seeking a skilled Financial Management Expert to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with schools to enhance their financial capabilities and drive improved educational outcomes for students.
The position is based in Toowoomba, where you will provide advice and support to school staff regarding financial management. Your expertise will be essential in helping schools make informed financial decisions and achieve their goals.
About the Role
* You will be responsible for developing and delivering financial management training material to support schools.
* You will assist with the development and communication of school accounting policies and procedures.
* You will be the key contact for schools in terms of financial policy and procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
* This requires an understanding of financial management practices affecting schools and involves:
* Undertaking analysis of financial management practices and financial performance of schools.
* Providing financial management advice to school-based staff.
* Monitoring the level of financial management competencies within schools.
* Providing appropriate training and development programs to enhance financial management skills.
* Working effectively in a team environment.
About You
* To be successful in this position, it would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:
* Sound knowledge of contemporary financial management issues and strategies impacting schools.
* Ability to interrogate and analyse school financial management systems.
* Ability to deliver training programs relating to school financial management, including in an online format.
* High-level communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to influence customer behavior and implement change.
* Demonstrated leadership and management skills appropriate to achieving outcomes within negotiated timeframes.
