About the role
We are seeking a hands-on Accountant to join our Finance team in a fast paced, high volume QSR Head Office environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for end to end accounting, compliance, and financial reporting across a growing business.
This role will encompass the following key responsibilities:
* Own the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis for review by the Finance Manager
* Ensure accurate and timely GST, BAS, and statutory reporting
* Support daily cash flow monitoring and forecasting in a high transaction environment
* Assist with banking relationships, facilities and reporting requirements
* Act as a key contact for external auditors and support year end audit processes
* Assist with insurance compliance, renewals, and claims documentation
* Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards
* Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and systems
* Support the business during peak trading and reporting periods
About you
Suitable candidates with the following skills and experience are encouraged to apply:
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* CA or CPA qualified, or working towards qualification
* Experience in a high volume or fast paced environment (QSR, Hospitality, FMCG or similar)
* Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
* Experience working with external auditors, banks or advisors
* Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator able to work with non-finance stakeholders
