In this executive leadership role, you will oversee the Change and Communication portfolio and provide strategic and operational support to the Deputy Commissioner, Organisational Capability across whole of portfolio change, culture, business integration and internal communications. You will establish and uplift change and culture capability within the Transformation Office, re pointing organisational change resources, aligning messaging across the reform agenda, and delivering the Office's communication strategy focused on transformation. You will build the Business Integration Management function, ensuring sequencing, alignment and buy in across QCS. In this role you will: * Lead the Change and Communication portfolio to enable agency wide engagement with the QCS reform agenda. * Establish change and culture management capability within the Transformation Office. * Oversee development and alignment of change messaging across reforms. * Provide strategic leadership for capability uplift and ongoing development. * Establish and deliver Business Integration Management capability. * Lead the Transformation Office communication strategy and internal transformation communications. * Coordinate and quality assure correspondence, briefs and reports aligned to strategic objectives, policies and frameworks. * Provide evidence based advice to senior executives on whole of portfolio change. * Build strategic relationships; represent QCS in forums and committees; and engage stakeholders to advance organisational interests. * Facilitate information analysis to support capability development and engagement with professional bodies. * Collaborate with QCS Media and Communications on media issues and draft responses as required. * Manage people and budgets to deliver efficient, sustainable services. * Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, performance orientation and personal accountability. * Communicate the QCS reform agenda to key stakeholders. * Undertake other duties as required. Role suitability This position sits within the Executive stream of the Leadership Competencies for Queensland. The successful applicant will demonstrate experience across: strategic and operational support in large, complex public sector settings; leading internal communications at scale; change and culture reform; program and project management; managing complex issues and risks; contemporary business processes; project/change management and business integration; large scale reform/transformation; relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for the correctional system; preparing executive documentation to government standards; high level stakeholder engagement to negotiate and influence on sensitive issues; and leadership to build effective teams, drive performance and deliver outcomes. Other requirements Formal qualifications in HR, psychology, business or related disciplines are highly regarded. Understanding of reform in correctional environments (or other complex operational agencies) is highly regarded. Travel may be required and work may occur across different sites.
