Rural and Remote Housing Incentive Scheme (RRHIS): Eligible participants include newly appointed or transferring teachers and school leaders commencing at designated state schools. This includes Permission to Teach and department interns (Trade to Teach and Turn to Teaching). You are not eligible if you already reside within 50 minutes of an eligible school. The scheme offers initial temporary accommodation paid upfront by the department, followed by a taxable rental allowance aligned with your weekly rent expenses. While department-provided housing is prioritized, alternative rental solutions are also available.
